About Milo
Meet the light and joy of our family - our seven-year-old son, Milo.
He loves to sing, dance, play outside, draw, and be read to.
If you need a good hug - a true, full, deep, squeeze-your-soul hug - he's your guy.
He has Down syndrome. This is an important part of his identity, but he is also so much more!
a medical bed
Milo was born with congenital heart disease and chronic airway issues, including severe sleep apnea that multiple surgeries have not helped. He uses oxygen via cannula when he sleeps. He will soon be trialing CPAP to see if he can tolerate it.
In order to keep him safe while he sleeps, he needs a medical bed with full enclosure. So far, insurance has denied our requests for this bed. We continue to try. In the meantime, we look for other options.
vision
My purpose for starting this cottage bakery was twofold: first, provide nourishing bread for my community. Second, raise money to pay for Milo's bed! As I begin to turn a profit, every extra dollar will go toward Milo's bed fund.
